LOCAL COACH
OFFERING FREE SOFTBALL PITCHING CLINICS
Windham resident
and Bat Cave softball instructor Mark Tucker has
put together a free pitching clinic for girls in
eighth grade and below.
The dates for the
clinics are every Sunday from November 18 to
December 23, 2:00pm to 3:30pm in the High School
auxiliary gym.
The first session
on November 18 is for parents and coaches on
windmill pitching. Bring your questions and your
gloves and expect to get hands on training so
you will better be able to help your kids.
The following week
the parents and coaches can bring the kids and
we will work together. This will be a great
chance for all of us to develop more pitchers.
Mark has an
impressive coaching resume. In addition to being
a paid instructor for the Bat Cave, he served as
an assistant at St Joseph's College for four
years and Head Coach at SMCC for a year and
half.
Mark's hope is
that this will will develop into a hitting
clinic as well once the pitching clinic gets
going.
COMMENTS:
Great clinic!
After two weeks both of my daughters, and
myself, have learned about the mechanics and
training of fast pitch softball, and more
importantly the proper way to do it. This is a
very informative and fun 90 minutes to spend
each week and the three of us look forward to
Sunday. I would like to thank Mark for offering
his time to do this for the future stars of
Windham Softball.

I just want to say
thank you to Mark Tucker for volunteering his
time to the girls and moms/dads for the Sunday
Softball Clinics. The clinic last Sunday was
very helpful to both myself and my daughter,
Alana. I believe this is the first time a clinic
like this for girls has been offered right in
Windham. We are looking forward to learning more
at the next clinics.
