Windham Eighth Grade Girls Open Season Against Westbrook

The Lady Eagles opened their season on Wednesday with a 32-24 loss to Westbrook.

The Blue Blazes jumped out to an early lead with six first quarter points from Megan Nierhoff, giving Westbrook a 18-8 cushion at the end of the 1st quarter.

Windham found itself in foul trouble early which put the Lady Eagles in an uphill battle, finding it difficult to gain any momentum. Windham also struggled from the foul line.

Windham's Megan Gribbin led all scorers with nine points, Morgan Dolby and Bebe Butts added 4 points each.

Westbrook had a balanced attack with eight different scorers, led by Megan Niehoff's eight points. Kayla Winton added six points.

Windham plays Gorham on Thursday November 30 at 3:30PM.
