WINDHAM GIRLS TAKE SCARBOROUGH TO OT

The
Lady
Eagles came close to their first victory of
the year before losing 54-50 in overtime to
the Storm.
After falling
behind 23-18 by halftime the team set a goal
to win the third quarter, which they did,
15-9 and took a 33-32 lead into the fourth
quarter.
Scarborough
managed a one point advantage in the fourth
quarter evening the score at 47-47 and
taking the game into overtime.
Scarborough
won the overtime period and ultimately the
game 54-50.
Riley Graves
led Windham players with 18 points and 11
rebounds,
Helen Libby had 12 points and 5
rebounds and
Jenna Willey contributed with
six points and 11 rebounds.
Coach Mayol
said, "They gave everything they had and
just fell a little short. They are getting
better and better each game! I really feel
that we are going to surprise some teams
this year!"
