WINDHAM GIRLS OPEN WITH TOUGH BATTLE AGAINST
GORHAM
December 7, 2007
Windham (0-1) outplayed Gorham for a
half before dropping the season opener 55-44
at home.
Windham
dominated early, leading by as many as 8
points while holding Gorham's scorer, Rachel
Burns in check for most of the first half.
Windham led 10-8 at the end of the first
quarter and doubled their lead to 24-20 by
the end of the second quarter.
Gorham made
adjustments at half time and came out and
took control of the game. Rachel Burns
scored 33 points for the Rams.
Helen Libby Led Windham scorers with 11
points, and
Kelsey Babb and
Riley Graves chipped in with 10 points
each.
