WINDHAM 5th GRADE TRAVEL FALLS TO TOPSHAM IN CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT FINAL

December 27, 2007

Windham advanced to the final but fell to Topsham 57-42 for the second time in as many days.

Windham fell behind 29-7 before Josh Dugas's scrappy play brought Windham back to within 10 points. Topsham regrouped and put the game away.

Dugas ended the game with 10 points and seven steals. Derek Hammond led Windham scorers with 15 points, Colby Wallace pulled down 13 rebounds and added 2 points, Troy Davis Chipped in with nine points.

Kevin Weisser who had come up big for Windham earlier in the tournament found himself in foul trouble early.

Coach Peter Snow said, "The kids took a lot of positives from this tournament that will help them as they move forward in the season."

Point Guard Nick Snow who has been sidelined for two weeks with a foot fracture and torn tendon, was seen shooting the ball in pregame warmups and is hoping to return to his team in three weeks.
