WINDHAM 5th GRADE TRAVEL ADVANCES TO CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT FINAL

Windham advanced to the finals of the Scarborough Christmas Tournament with a 61-46 victory over Cape Elizabeth.

Derek Hammond led Windham scorers with 20 points. Kevin Weisser and had 10 rebounds and 12 points, Josh Dugas had 12 points and Colby Wallace pulled down an incredible 18 rebounds as Windham advanced for a rematch against Topsham in the Final game later today.

I am Derek Hammond s grandmother and I attended a couple of games in the Christmas tournament..The boys really gave their all and I enjoyed watching them play. Whether they were ahead or behind everyone played as a team. Of course I am very proud of Derek and it was wonderful to see how focused he was. Everyone played their hearts out and all deserve great recognition. The tournaments were well organized and I thoroughly enjoyed watching. Thank you for listening...
