Falmouth-
Windham’s Junior Legion Team finally took to
the field Friday night after several rain
postponed games. A handful of teams in
their conference have played up to six games
already. Two had not. Falmouth took
advantage and scored a few quick runs early
on to set the pace for the night. Windham
pitcher Devin Lailer could do little as the
Falmouth bats found contact and put the ball
in play. Windham committed five errors in
the game. Lailer would still have three
earned runs charged to him.

Lewiston ME-
We all know it is baseball season, however,
football skills and drills are under way.
Bates College was the place Saturday for a
Football Skills competition among the top
teams in the state. It was a non O-Line and
non D-Line Skills. Seven on seven the whole
day. The field was broken up into zones.
Offensive zone one was worth one point.
Zone two worth two points. Zone three worth
three points and if the receiver made it to
the end-zone untouched, it was worth six
points. Defense also recorded points. An
incomplete pass was worth one point. A
tipped pass was worth three points and an
interception was worth six points.

What does this
mean? Well, when a swim team has six
members to swim twelve events and three of
those are four-member relays, the options
available are very limited. Depth in this
example is number of swimmers, not feet in
the pool. Four of the six participants on
Saturday are seasoned swimmers. In all,
